Easy Skillet Nachos

Skillet Nachos are a quick way to get a restaurant style dinner or appetizer on the table in about 30 minutes and in one pan for easy clean-up! Perfect for game day or anytime you're craving something full of flavor.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 pkg taco seasoning
  • 15 ounce can black beans drained and rinsed
  • Corn chips or tortilla chips
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • Desired toppings : diced olives, tomatoes, jalapenos, cilantro

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 400º.
  2. Heat oil in 9 inch cast iron skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add beef and garlic and cook until meat is cooked through.
  4. Add taco seasoning. Remove beef from skillet, set aside.
  5. Spread about 2 cups of chips on the bottom of the cast iron skillet. Top with half the beef mixture, half the beans and half the cheese. Bake for 3 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
  6. Repeat layers starting with chips and ending with cheese.
  7. Bake for 3-5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
  8. Top with desired toppings and serve immediately.
